Recently had a major problem involving Norton's Ghost and/or WinXP (it is not clear either way to me)I decided because of various and sundry problems I was having with WinXP to format and do a clean install on one of my two Hard drives. So I first backed up everything to my second hard drive, then I did a format and clean install on my first Hard Drive. Everything went okay, so then tried to access the Internet on the second Hard Drive, no luck even several hours later after fiddling with everything I could think of. Windows decided I needed to activate it and would not boot up. So tried a reinstall of WinXP, after three times of it getting to the same point and displaying the same error message that wouldn't go away. I used Ghost to replace everything on the second hard drive with the first hard drives contents. Next time I will replace WinXP with Linux
